Gone cold !

After having my EGR cleaned, my running temp had dropped to 70 degrees. I had both thermos replaced for new about two months ago. Any clues what could cause this ?

Where did the thermostats come from? Genuine ones or after market?

They were fine until the work was done on the EGR, have a feeling there may be an air lock ?.

I popped the EGR valve off for a clean during my service and too have noticed my running temp is now never higher than 70deg. I did not monitor my coolant temp before this so just presumed one of my stats had gone. Now I'm second guessing this presumption.

Interested to see what you discover...

I took my car into these guys... http://www.andovergermancarservice.com/ bloody glad I did too.. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=949284

Both my stats were fine. The guys at BromSpec bled my coolant system and made sure all pipes etc were in place and tight (some weren't, EGR gas and coolant pipes) and hey presto... back up to 90 in no time.
