What is/have you ever heard this BMW chime/gong/noise? What is it?

Found out my car had a radio made in 2011 so I thought I could get LCI chimes.

Changed the radiostufe to the _3_4 and lost all gongs

Found a value called gongs in the 2urad radio file and made it active and now it sounds like this. Never heard this in any BMW before in my life

I have! The shop I take my car to I always hear this in the back. Never did ask what it was... I'll ask next time I'm there.

I have that in my car (LCI 2009) and it comes on if I leave my car door open or light on as I leave the car as a reminder to me.

Hey my moms 2006 5series does that cuz it has ccc, all 3 series with navi have that gong, if no navi, then it's a regular beep.

My son's 2007 328xi with Nav has the same, key in ignition and door open. Wish our 2006 325i and 330i had this same gong.

That is the standard sound to remind you the key is in the ignition

Hmm so this is the CCC navi gong, interesting. looks like it can be turned on on cars without nav!

Yup. same thing on my bone stock pre-lci 2010 e92 335i.
