Temperature control

Is it possible to get the temperature control to work dual? As i've just had a hire car for a week and you could control the temperature individually or dual.

I know it's not the most interesting question but it would be nice to be able to control them together.

What car, exactly? Do you have the "all" button on one of the dials?

If you have a Pre-LCI, no. Assuming your hire car was an LCI and had the ALL button on.

You need to fit the lci controls with the ALL button (replaced the REST)!

I've done it in mine!

So you lose the rest ability? I like being able to keep my car warm.

Yep, you can't have both.

The ALL is a must for us OCD people!

Is it just a straight swap mate? Never use the rest function anyway.

You can have both. I have a pre-Lci with dual climate control. Can control the temps of the left side/ right side and rear. Also have the rest button to keep car warm when the engine is off to use the engines residual heat!

I presume that's what you meant?

No he means control both sides (driver & passenger) temps with one knob like most card with dual climate. Instead we have to do one at a time. How dumb....

Fairly sure you can't add it without coding at least. Just putting the LCI panel in the ALL button will act as a REST button.

Thanks for the replies. My car is a pre LCI 320d M-sport, as previously said it is my OCD that wants the dual function.

Also the hire car was a 62 passat CC.... Very happy to be back in mine, the VW just didn't drive like a BMW ha ha.

I retrofitted heated seats & installed the lci climate control at the same time..... Makkan did the coding, but I don't think this button will need coding - as it's a control feature!

I guess if the button works within the panel it should be fine, but if it is just a button that goes to the computer, that won't know the print on the button has changed.
