Non CA Key Fob Troubleshooting

The unlock, lock, truck stopped working on one of my key fobs. Fob still starts the car. My other key fob is works perfectly fine. Neither of these are comfort access fobs. I checked the voltage on the rechargeable battery and it was 3 volts, but I ended up soldering in a new battery anyways. Anybody have any ideas on what else I can try? By the way, this is on a 2006 330i.

Did soldering in another battery work?

Happened to my extra key. I hadn't used it in a while and it stopped unlocking but it'd start the car. I used it like that for about a week and it started to work again.

Has the remote ever worked or is the history unknown?

I would try to reprogram it. I forget the exact steps but I believe it's something along the lines of inserting they key into the slot (key is locked in), pressing it again to unslot (key is unlocked but do not remove from slot) and holding the start button for 20 seconds.

Yes it was my main fob and it just stopped working. I'll try that reprogram procedure. I haven't been able to find a definitive way to reprogram.
