330d LCI full car & gearbox update

I've just had my CIC updated and prepped for a combox install.

The unit was on ISTA35 which I believe is October 2009, the car was registered in November 2009 so I guess the car has never been updated.

I've read alot about a gearbox update that was released in 2012. Does anyone have any experience of this or a full car update?
