European Delivery- M 235i is no longer coming out of allocation

Just got word that the M 235i will no longer be coming out of dealers' allocation. That is great news for those wanting to do Euro Delivery on these!

This means that you could negotiate a better price. When it was coming out of allocation, I think the going rate was $1000-1500 off MSRP. Now it's probably going to be around $750-1000 over invoice.

If the pickup date is near, then there's not much either side can do since it already ate up the allocation. I placed an order for $900 over invoice. I'm sure I can get it lowered a bit but I'm not going to haggle and go out of my way for $100-150.

My pickup date is scheduled at the end of April. I got $1500 above invoice. Now do you think they'd be willing to lower the price to $750 above invoice since it's fairly close? I don't think it has entered production just yet.

That's a tricky one. I would imagine yes but it's really up to the dealer. If the dealer has used one of its allocations for you then it'd be tough (although they could just spec that one however they want to sell it here and and use an ED allocation for your order). You have about 6 weeks left before pick up so you still have sometime. However, 6 weeks is about the minimum you can do everything.

If they re-do the order and resubmit everything, it might be too late and you might not be able to get the date that you want. I would still call them up and say that you know they're no longer coming out of their US allocation and see what they can do.

Awesome news for those who were patient. If I were able to get one at 750 above invoice I would save about 700 to 900. But, I agreed to my deal and have no plans to try to rework anything and am still pleased with it.

Lesson of the day is to be patient

We already have Euro MSRP at about $40,100 which is roughly 7% below US MSRP. To get to Euro invoice, multiplying $40,100 by .92 gets us about $36,892. It's not 100% accurate but that will get you within $50 or so of invoice.

I think the news came as a big surprise to everyone. Normally it would take a few months before cars stop coming out of US allocation. The 4 series went into production in July, 2013 and people received their orders toward the end of September/October. In December it stopped coming out of allocation for Euro Delivery. Following the same timeline puts the 2 series at around May/June. Considering the 2 started hitting showrooms about 2 weeks ago, the news surprised a lot of people.

Do it! I'm planning on doing Euro Delivery with two other people for a total of three cars.

US invoice is around $40,100 (maybe like $40,085) which is about 7% off.

And options are about 8% off roughly from US MSRP.

US msrp with dealer profit is about $3k off while ED with dealer profit is around $6k off...kind of a no brainer to do ED but I have a trade-in and that might be the deal breaker

The original thread on bimmerfest that stated the M235i is no longer coming out of allocation has been deleted. Can someone else confirm whether or not it is or isn't coming out of allocation?

I contacted GOLFFRR who checked with David of Steve Thomas BMW and was told it's just a rumor floating around.

Greg Poland of Pacific BMW also confirmed that this is incorrect information.
