Tire Question

Hi guys, next week I want to order 335d xDrive GT and I have some questions about tyres. I want to know which tyres they use? Are they any differences between 18 inches and 19 inches? Are they different across the lines and M-Sport? I donīt think width, but tyre mark and type. Thanks for answers

18's you have a choice of summer or all season tires. 19's only come with summer tires. I wanted the 19's, but living where I live it didn't make sense.

I have the Sport model with 19" Double-spoke style 466 - my understanding is that all GTs come with run flat tyres as standard - the tyres I have are Continental.

I understand you need to think about winter tyres, but the price you pay will mostly be for the alloys. The Luxury, M Sport, Sport, etc. have their own different designs and in my case I chose the ones I thought would look better in the car. In my view the tyres themselves can be easily changed, the alloys not so much.

My 320i GT Sport came with 18" Style 397 (the standard option). I'm not really into wheel design, and worse, I even think that 19" doesn't look good at all. Horse for courses, I suppose.

My tyres are Pirelli Cinturato P7. From previous experience I would have preferred a Conti Premium Contact 5, but I don't think we can influence that. A dealer may be able to change it for you at delivery time.

And yes run flat is standard, and shouldn't be changed as the entire suspension is designed for the higher weight of RFs.

I had the M-Sport package, and 18" staggered 400M wheels. I ended up putting winter tires on the factory rims, and buying a new set of 19" wheels for summer tires (PSS). If I were to do it over, I'd want a square factory set up for changing out to winter tires.

I am still looking for a buyer for my factory set of summer performance tires. They are Pirelli Cinturato P7 summer performance tires for staggered wheels. Too bad there doesn't seem to be many people leasing the 3GT locally that would use my tires.

Sport line with summer tires gets square summer 225's with the 18x8" wheel, or staggered with 19's. We opted for 18's because paying more for worse handling balance and ride and more expensive replacement tires seemed silly, and making the wheels look better on these cars kindof just draws a sharper contrast with the, err, rest of it. I do love the way the 19's look especially the lux line 19's those things are sweet

Ours Came with ContiProContact SSR Summers, 280 treadwear i believe. Tire rack doesn't even carry them yet
