'14 335i Mineral Grey M Performanced
Here's my 2014 335i outfitted with the following:
Basics: Mineral grey/Coral Red. Tech, Prem, Cold Weather, DA, 403M, m sport brakes, 6MT, HK, side & top view Bling: Borla S-Type exhaust M Performance Parts: ..mppk ..front splitter (matte) ..rear diffuser (matte) ..rear spoiler (carbon fiber) ..side blades (matte) ..grilles (shiny black) ..interior mats (all season rubber) ..aluminum pedals ..alcantera/Carbon Fiber interior trim ..alcantera/Carbon Fiber shifter ..alcantera/Carbon Fiber handbrake Carbon Fiber black/white roundels (steering wheel, hood, trunk, wheels) Painted reflectors Clear LED turn signals (egg-yolk delete) Tint (50% ceramic) Clear Bra (front bumper, fenders, 30% hood, mirrors, behind door handles) Still have to wire up the Technic harness & old subwoofer in trunk. *Disclaimer: I was in a rush to get these pics before the rain started/the daylight fled. However, this gives you a chance to see mineral grey in low-light and/or dusk. Thought I'd post a couple pics of the weisslicht spectrum LED turn signals at night, purchased from Bimmian. They contain the orange in a different way than incandescent bulbs do, to a pleasing effect. Last edited by mcli; 03-28-2014 at 12:58 AM.. |

That is tidy man, loving it. What did you do to the side skirts to make the M Performance logo a grey text instead of white?

The m perf rocker panel/side skirt decals are black with white text. I thought about those, but liking the subtle look I've got now. Thanks, 50%. I had 35% on my last (blue) car, but I was worried that it'd be too dark on mineral grey. |

One of my favorite F30s right here! MG is one of my favorite car colors ever and this ride really pulls it off!! The only thing I might suggest is a drop; I haven't done it, myself, but I've been thinking about going for it. Such a beautiful car!!

Your car is one of the best M Sports I've seen as of late. Very nice job!
Now for the obvious question: you are easily $65K into this beauty, why not wait for the f80 M3? |

Btw, the PPK decal on the side is so ridiculously subtle, it's kind of silly to see folks here arguing against it. Especially when they claim that they want to remove it to retain the "sleeper" look. This isn't a Subaru STI whale spoiler fellas ...

LOL I agree 100% but most arguments against the decals that I've heard are about impersonating ///M models and how lame it can be. I halfway agree with them but, then again, I have all of the M stuff on my 335i as well haha.

Nice, love Mineral Grey! I think this does it--I will probably pull the trigger on the electronic steering wheel and interior now at some point.
What I still don't get at this point in time is the "rocker panels" or "side blades". The m-performance rocker panels look just like the m-sport ones but with the recessed part being unpainted and then on your car I see there is a little lip on the bottom but otherwise they look like the regular M-sport rocker panels. I guess these are separate options?

The m sport package comes with m sport rocker panels/side skirts. The two additions you can get are:
1. the m perf decals that are black with white "///m performance" letters, & run the length of the skirt. This is an accent to the existing m sport rocker panel/side skirt. Part #7 below. NOTE: this is a decal, albeit a large one, not a physical addition. 2. The m perf blades are a physical part which are matte black or body color painted, and fit underneath the side skirt/rocker panel. This widens the body a touch and (supposedly) connects the line from the m perf splitter to the rear diffuser. Part #6 below *Note: I do not have part #7 - m perf decals. The "m performance" stickers with grey lettering you see on the skirts/rocker panels are from the VPC installed mppk. Last edited by mcli; 03-27-2014 at 02:53 PM.. |

Ah I see now, I always thought the M Performance black skirt was a part of the rocker, I didn't realize it was just a decal. I like the rocker panel a lot but was never a fan of the black skirt, especially how it may look on an EB car. Guess I can get the rocker and not bother with the decal like you have.
Can you get the front splitter/bumper painted in matt black or body coloured, or does it just come in a standard colour? |

Here's a pic of an estoril blue with the black rocker panel decal, and body color painted rocker panel blades. I think it looks quite nice. Last edited by mcli; 03-27-2014 at 02:52 PM.. |

Yeah there is a canadian guy that has the M-Performance edition that looks like that and the black on blue looked great IMO as well.
Thanks for the clarification on what exactly the side blades are. I guess I'm undecided on them for now even though I will have the rest of the "M" exterior. Wow, that means those huge stickers are 152 each......I always thought they were an add on panel as well. I've never seen the "blades" themselves sold though which is why I'm confused I guess.
