Caddy must be doing some back to back comparisons.

Wow good find dude! I seriously wouldn't be surprised if they used the same engine as the new C7 Z06 in the next generation CTS-V. I willing to bet my lunch tomorrow that the chassis of the next gen CTS-V will be under 4,000lbs as well. I've just got this feeling though, that the CTS-V will still use an 8-speed Auto transmission and a standard LSD. The Active ///M Differential in today's current ///M's including the M3 and M4, is really an unsung hero in my opinion. I'd like to see how the CTS-V manages traction with 635ft/lbs of torque that the LT4 engine produces with that eLSD that Chevrolet is planning on using in the new Z06, which does not try to predict traction loss as the Active M Differential does.
Anways, I'm a little worried about the next gen CTS-V performance wise. With a light weight and massive power and torque, it give the F10 M5 some real competition, especially since GM is using the F10 M5 as the benchmark. However, there's still no doubt in my mind that the CTS-V will fall short in all other areas, such as luxury, comfort, convenience and technology.

It will most likely outperform the M5, that's without question. The current CTS-V sport dynamically trumps the non M F10. It will also be cheaper than the M5. Excited to see what Caddy brings to the table. Whether it is a more desirable package is the question

Not sure if it'll be cheaper... Caddy has lately elevated their pricing strategy. A CTS-V was running $75K now, a loaded CTS V-Sport can hit in the $70's which has many complaining. So, the CTS-V will definitely be closer to $90K...

You can spend in 70s for a regular 6 cylinder CTS V-Sport now.

everyone praises the caddys chassis and if they use the lt4 engine it will be an absolute beast.
I'm praying they make a Wagon...

A few years back, I saw Caddy CTS Coupe & Wagon prototypes on the Tail of the Dragon with a BMW 6 Series in the middle of the group. Nice to be the benchmark brand.
