M4 VS "I wish I had"?

I don't want to buy a car because it's affordable, then park next to a car I wish I had... If there is an "I wish I had", what would it be? A new GT3?

Oh, I love your idea of a tread. Here goes my list, and it's a bit different.

First pick would be a Saab 900 convertible, from the nineties. Ugly cars, and absolutely trashed now, but I just hate the smug look on the owners. This will never be mine, and that probably makes me want it even more.

The second pick would go to Corvettes, point one, I have had the angry tears in my eyes at least ones. I could never buy that, and I don't even like them, but for some reason every time I see one, I want to rescue it from their current owners. This is a sick sick feeling, and perhaps therapy will help me.

Maserati. I'm not even picky about the model, I would probably be happy if I glued the badge to a bicycle. They just make the world more beautiful and their owners should get rewards for this.

I don't think the reasonable part of me is willing to want anything that I can't finance, so my dreams have always been within my budget. Still, my list was awful, someone come up with a better one.

But that is OT :P

I really want a new GT3, but since its so new and thanks to the recent engine problems, I feel more comfortable going with the M4. Plus I am only 24. The porsche will be a nice gift for me when im in my 30's

I'm 31, so this is my last chance to buy one without admitting midlife crises.

There will always be a "I wish I had car" no matter where you start or what you buy. After you bagged a 991 GT3, it may be a GT3RS, 458, P1 or 918. There will always be a better nicer car around the corner.

I wish I had a 997 GT3 4.0 RS. I can't say I've driven one but the looks and specs are pretty damn perfect. Then of course pretty much every Ferrari and Lamborghini on sale and every 991 model and the list just goes on and on...

I need 4 doors so Panamera Turbo, ugly, but very effective. Or Range Rover Autobiography, presence and lux. Both too showy for me.

Yes, that an added bonus! Perkele is a word much in use when I see a Prius here, and I've told the kids that it's a friendly word and english, and that it means we meet again. This policy of lying has back fired all ready, they heard me say F off to a friend of mine, and I translated that to a bye bye to them. I'm quite happy the teacher didn't understand our elder, when she wanted to say bye bye in the nice way mun thought her.

Hi Cuddly! Wasn't the M235i the one you tried to make me get? I liked it tough, but I think the European blood in you will keep you away from that one in the end. Honey, it's just too damn cute, and cute and cars do not mix!

You will probably be the only male on this planet who will touch my car keys, so enjoy the few minutes you have with them. And also, if you have the time to give me some day, would you please help me with my latest (I'm aware the list is endless, and I shall always be your DD because you've been so patient with me) annoying problem!

Then back to your list. You my friend CAN NOT buy a Corvette. No way. I will hunt you down and give you a mirror, cause baby that's what every corvette owner fears the most! And then I will steal your car, and take it to safety. Don't get me wrong, as a car thief I'm no good, the only breaking and entering I have done have been to help the owner who's keys have been locked to the car (again, the cars in Finland are old, oh so old), but I will try my best. I refuse to let someone whom I like (and that list is so short, my skirts look like nuns outfits next to it) turn into that guy.

Yes, that was an almost genuine thread, but please do take it with all my love for the great personality of yours, which should not be buried to that Life is over peace of shit.

I forgot to add, that Swedish is mandatory language for us Finns, so cursing in that will be no problem.

I speak 4 languages, but unfortunately my english is so bad I can only claim the bad word to my vocabulary.

Oh My FN God how could I forget the McLaren F1 yes the as the great Gordon Murray said at Goodwood Festival of Speed one glorious year simply put the greatest car ever developed from F1 technology!!!

Lups the thing about the M235i is the balance when you push that car to the absolute limits you can just drift so naturally through a corner it truly is the rebirth of BMW's legendary 50/50 balance...I am sure the M3 & M4 will be just as good if not much better but as of now I have not driven one so my professional opinion can only be based on cars I have driven in anger.

Haha! Well, I was in the car with you one of those times, and yes, it handles like the dreams we have.

I have to tell you a secret though. I fell in love today, and no, it's not cheating if the other party is a piece of engineering. Cuddly, I here by want you to know, that You were right, I was not so right (I'm still not able to say the wrong word in this sentence), the M5 would have been a car for me.

In the other tread I actually posted the pictures of it, just pm me, if you are unable to find it. This day was a humiliation for me, and I so got what I deserved.

now there is a memory lane for you, I'll probably end up editing the intro into a nicer form later, and I'll even add the hubbys cars into it. Again, he buys, I drive, I buy, he doesn't touch.
