Rotors

So i noticed yesterday that my rear my brake discs are close to needing a replacement... I haven't contacted the dealership yet to see how much it would cost through them, I can already assume they charge a lot more for them... so does anybody know a good supplier and can anybody point me to which rotors I would need?

brought my car in for my yearly service this morning...
I got quoted around 860$ to replace the front and rear pads, sensor and rotors... the rotors on front seem still fine to me... so might just do the rears, waiting to hear back regarding their inspection....

he told me when they replace rotors they normally replace the pads and sensors too...

thoughts?

How many Km's on your car? Sounds a little crazy that you would need to replace your rotors on a new car! Brake pads maybe if you've driven a lot but rotors last forever barring no warping.
I'm not sure about sensors either but i would assume those can be reused as well if they are not faulty.

fortunately rotors as in brake disk and pads don't need replacing for another 15k KM, thats what dealer told me

Just had the back done on a 32K km 335i also.
Previous owner did use ALOT the 10km slowdown feature on the cruise control.
This feature uses the rear brakes only, thus cutting the life of the pads in half.

Ask me how I know (did same thing with previous E90)...

As for the sensors, can't be used since they get worn down when pads are past due.
But, they only cost +- 22$, and you nly have 2 (1 front, 1 back), so not that bad.
