You sir are correct! I figured before I dove head first for the $650 ones, I'd dip my toe in for the $150 ones. Now that I see them in person, I'm happy I did. I'm sure they aren't as nice as the real ones, but it just isn't worth the additional $500 investment to me.
This is probably it for me. I only went with the carbon because the mirror stalks are already black and thought the carbon would blend better then the silver. |

The fitment is pretty good. I'd say an 8 out of 10.
As you can see the spacing is pretty consistent. The only spot it isn't is on the inside of the mirror by the stalk. Seems to be a bit too tight. I might sand it down a little. |

They fit on top of the original ones, correct? I know Bimmian has two options $150 for cover up and $250 for replacement. Look good though, mirrors always get chipped and beat up not sure OEM is worth it at 4x the price.

No. They are a full replacement item. Take off the silver mirror caps and then pop these on. Install takes two mins.

Nice find. I'm going to try to wrap mine with gloss black vinyl before jumping on swapping them out. The CF looks nice but I'd prefer black personally.

IND will have gloss black OEM covers in stock soon, might be your best bet if you don't want to have the regular ones painted.

Not a major issue for sure. Worst case you can try out the look and see if you like it. If you do and it doesn't hold up you can either plastidip or spring for some painted caps down the road.
