Angry Help-Vibration over 70-75mph

Ok, I am going nuts trying to diagnose a vibration that occurs right at 75mph and increases with speed all the way to 100+. Steering wheel does not move, its a high frequency bounce that feels like I am driving a dryer. Hubs were checked and fine and it's not driveline as it occurs with the clutch in at speed. I have had all 4 wheels road force balanced 2x, have swapped wheels side to side, replaced worn front rotors, normalized tire pressures, nothing seems to help. At higher speeds its downright uncomfortable. Ideas appreciated....

I hope this isn't a stupid question, but did you check for a bubble on your tires? I felt the same thing and found I had a bubble on my front passenger tire. Replaced it and everything went back to perfect.

Yeah I checked and didn't see anything, tires are pretty new <7k miles.
I did have a flat plugged a few months ago but I check that too and it looked fine (small nail).

Could be a bent wheel but I assume you've already checked that.

maybe rotate tires front to back to try and isolate a wheel or tire issue.

Bent wheel - I can't tell and the 2 places that balanced didn't comment. Not ruling it out....if it is bent its not visible.

I checked all my suspension bushings and they aren't leaking and seem nice and tight (car only has 50k) but makes me wonder. Could a bad bushing cause this kind of vibration?

So what?

Are you still on stock size wheel/tires? If so, the rears will fit in the front just fine

Definitely sound like a slight bend. Same thing happened to me. Do the vibration increase with speed?

Try moving your back wheels to the front and driving for a bit, and go from there. Unfortunately there are many issues that can cause vibrations, like bushings or even your axles. On my personal car I had issues with one of my axles failing, and it caused quite a bit of vibration through the car, and eventually wrecked my tire.

Yep. Smooth as glass till 75mph then progressively worse with speed. 90+ is uncomfortable, feels like I am bouncing.

If there's a bend in the wheel thats not visible the shop doing the balancing would of told you that they couldn't balance the wheel perfectly due to it having a slight bend, unless they just disregarded it because thats what my shop told me on my old wheel setup. Other then what everyone mentioned i'd be stumped to why it would be vibrating at higher speeds.

How about engine mounts? maybe the engine is moving to much that it causes vibration throughout the cars body.

Thought about that but would feel it at higher revs/lower speeds. Vibration still there if i push the clutch in at 90mph and just coast.

I guess I need to swap back/front see if that has an affect. Not sure I feel comfortable going 75+ with this setup...

Lol I have the same exactly issue Vibration over 75mph on 335i thats so weird. And I don't know whats wrong.. but my issue could be because of my rear tires are a bit too big and rubbing sometimes. Going to change them and check then.

Suspension upgrades

Have you upgraded your suspension ? Several people on this site (myself included) have some suspension upgrades, and have the vibration issue(s). Mine begin about 70 mph; I have not been able to sort it out yet. One of the people at the shop where I had suspension parts installed has vibration issues as well since suspension upgrades. I have my car into another shop now having it looked at.

Are you talking about the halfshalfs? CV joint or rear wheel bearing? Or was this the live axle on a Mustang?
