How long till i get my e92?

hey guys
i just called my dealer and asked him when my car would get here, and he said its going into production in about a week, and then it would be ready for shipping at the end of december and it will get here on the 3rd or 4th week of january.
but why does it take that long to manufacture the car? and 4 weeks to ship it to here? that sounds stupid to me!
so i wanted to know how long it took ur cars to get to u after u found out the first bit of info about its production?

do some searches, but for me it was about a month after it finished production. that includes finding a vessel, shipping time, and VPC.

everyones time differs based on location and how jammed up the factory is..

I ordered my e92 335i on 8/19/06 and got it on 10/06/06 so just about 7 weeks.

did you get a production #? if not, then it hasnt even gone into production.

some cars start from scratch. some get pushed into a higher production slot. i forgot the production slot number you should ask for. just search and you'll find it.

takes about 1-2 weeks to build the car. bmw circle is slow at updating. shipping DOES take about a month. my rule of thumb is about 1.5-2 months total.

i ordered it about 2.5 weeks ago and i called my dealer yesterday and he told me that its gonna get built in a week or so and then its gonna be ready for shipping by the end of december and that it should get here by the 3rd or 4th week of january. he didn't tell me anything about the production date or anything, so i'm guessing he wasn't sure about the exact production date either.
this is like almost 3 months of endless waiting.
this car is supposed to be a december production but i guess it depends when in december it is going to be built.
i hope its in early december cuz i can't wait anylonger....the wait is killing me!!
