Route valve cover to intake hose to the ground ?

Was doing my gasket last night and thought I'd block this bi*ch from going to the intake and spitting oil into our turbos, FMIC, CP etc, inturn causing inlet valves to deposit gunk, turbo inlets to drip oil etc ... Would it hurt if I just route a pipe from valvecover to somehow back into crankcase, I'll just try to vent it to the ground for test purposes first ... and block the intake with a rubber cork and Oring ... pls raise any issues I could potentially face doing this ..
i m a g i n e "0" oil in intake

The crank case vent really should have a vacuum applied to it, which is why it's hooked up to the turbo inlet. You won't get as good of a seal on the rings and the higher crankcase pressure will slow down the oil delivery to the turbos too.

Its the duct next to your PCV valve on the valve cover that goes into rear turbo inlet - I'll try to dig a pic and post here

Wait so are we really just saying VTA on the crankcase side? If so, go for it.

Removing the rear inlet tube portion of the PCV system will do fuck all for keeping your intake ports gunk free...goes to a completely different location dude. There's a separate pcv valve and multiple venturis and channels routed inside the valve cover itself that feed the intake ports. All you're going to do is increase the positive pressure in your crankcase when under boost my removing the pipe to the rear turbo inlet tube.

Hmm...I've seen guys actually route that straight into the exhaust:
http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthrea...ion-to-exhaust

Not sure if that would work the same in our application though.

The exhaust pulls a vacuum too, so that works too!

Here's a pcv question: If your rear turbo intake pipe is hanging loose, is it possible that there is not enough vacuum being created for the pcv valve to work properly? Causing excess oil buildup?

No -
excessive oil build up in the INTAKE is only when PCV (+ve crankcase ventilation) is working & dumping all that vaporized oil into intake ... build up in valve cover is another thing but never heard of build up there

the reason why I will disconnect it from intake

what do u mean you're sucking in dirty air ? Ideal would be to fit a cone filter right on the turbo intake housing lol - remove air filter/ diverter valves/ intake tubings ... 35 lbs right there

I ran a small filter and vented the PCV that normally goes to the rear intake pipe to the atmosphere. It eventually saturated and started blowing oil all over the rear of my engine bay, which after that point I picked up a BMS catch can. Routing to the ground will obviously prevent that. I still think it best to have some vacuum on the PCV, even though it is probably not 100% necessary because that valve only open when the manifold is pressurized under boost (as is apparent from oil blowing out).

Why not get a good catch can? Or if you really want to run it to the "ground", weld in a venturi nozzle to the exhaust (probably post cats) and rout it through there so you are getting some vacuum draw on the PCV?
