F31 Body Noise?
Hi guys, Ive had my car coming up to 6 months now. Ive noticed a creaking noise from what sounds like the car body as Im going over humps and even just pulling onto the drive which has a slight crest on it.
Has anyone else experience this and is it normal? I never had it on my E91, but im a little concerned for whatever reason the body has lost some rigidity and has an issue somewhere? Thanks in advance Matt |

Doesn't sound right to me.
The only thing people have mentioned is when going over speed humps with adaptive suspension too fast, the rear near side can make a bang as the suspension resets. But no creaking unless its the window seals that are a bit hard? apply some rubber conditioner? |

I also used to get a lot of creaking and groaning nosies from my previous car (Audi RS4 Avant). I had Audi look into several times... checking suspension etc.... it turned out to be the boot load cover. Some foam padding was applied in a few places and the sounds went. I get the occasional noise from my F31 too, and when I remove the load cover/carge net the sounds go away. As yet I haven't got round to isolating exactly where it rubs (lack of time with young kids etc) but when I do, it would probably just need the wooly side of some velco in the tight spots. So my suggestion would be.... take the load cover out first, before getting the chassis looked at |

Sources of rattles/creaking noise in my F31:
The warning triangle door in the tailgate was the source of one creaking noise in my f31, felt tape has fixed it. The load cover and load net where others, felt tape fixed these. |

not F31...
but my F30 made creaking/squeaking noises from the rear seat bolsters where the lower steel pegs locate in the steel frame slot. ...quick spray of silicone lubricant sorted it, but could have done with the pegs being plastic coated/better fit. |

I have removed the shelf out of it already so it wasnt that. I think it is the windows, I have been testing the theory by driving with the windows down and no noise. So I will get some meguiars rubber conditioner, hopefully this should cure it.
Thanks for all the responses guys |
