Tire Rack?

Did anyone else notice Tire Rack no longer lists tires or wheels for the 2014 M235i? And that they ask if it was built before or after 3/2014? What changed on the March builds?

Thanks!

Same thing for the 228i. Maybe they are just setting up the site to show wheel/tire packages etc. Not sure what the big deal is, the 2 series seems to have the same offsets as the 1 series, so all the 1 series wheels should fit.

From what I've seen (and I have been checking since early March) they have never had 235M info on their web site. I also called them right after I took delivery, and they said they hadn't gotten a 235M in yet to test packages on.

I just hope they have something by this Fall when I'm going to be in the market for a Winter set-up

The M235i is on their site. Look under M not 2.

Thanks! Missed that when I went back to their site the other day and figured they still hadn't updated it yet. Weird on the build date stuff. My car was built mid-February and the site says on or before 2/2014 or on or after 3/2014? I guess I go with the 2/2014 then, but I also wonder what the difference is. I don't see anything obvious on the web site (the same tires come up).

Update: The difference on build date is the TPMS BMW used. This according to the tech I just talked to at Tire Rack. There was a change made in March.

Ah thanks! Probably means the TPMS from my 2011 335i won't work!

Most likely related:http://babybmw.net/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=60723

Summary: Week 10+ builds have different TPMS, which throws warning if removed. Two options to fix: 1. buy/install new sensors on aftermarket wheels, or 2. code it out.

Looks like Tire Rack has updated their site to show wheel and tire packages for 228 and M235. Includes selection for winter packages.
