Performance intake for E93
Hey guys, i am planning to get BMS N55 Performance intake for my 2011 335i Vert, wondering if anyone here has tried it, also does it void any warranty.
And i m in Cali...so how risky is it? http://burgertuning.com/N55_BMW_Performance_intake.html |

I have one on my n55 and my dealership doesn't really care. As far as bolt-ons are concerned, they only affect warranty if there is a problem with that particular component. In your case, if anything went wrong with your intake system, it would not be covered unless you replaced it with your stock system before bringing it in (which is extremely unlikely - just make sure to hook it up properly).
That being said, it's definitely worth buying. It's pretty cheap, extremely to easy install (10-20 mins tops), adds power, and sounds great. The blow off noise that comes with it is pretty sweet. I highly recommend buying one!

Three super cool dealers. Used to have it, but was sick of passengers telling me my car sounds like a metro bus
When I did have it though, not a single shit was given In fact, two guys at one dealer (one employee and one customer) asked me where I got it, and got one for themselves A lot of things aren't "legal" in Cali, but I can't imagine anyone caring one way or another, but I do know the state is Terry a tough time selling some of his products (especially DPs.) Isn't he supposed to move the business to Nevada or something? |

I have the N55 intake and I love it. I will be removing it for dealership visits. It'll only take 10-15 minutes max to remove it so no big deal.

As its been said it depends on the dealership. They usually do not care if the problem is not related to the mod.
