GFMV and options
does anyone have any calculators I can use to see how much of an effect various options such as a pro nav, or individual leather will have on the 3 year cost
thanks |

Yes, they seemed to have removed the calculator for the bmw website since the start of the year. it was very useful in see what difference adding options means to your monthlies (they may even reduce if you select the right options). I thought they would have out it back by now, if they are going to.

I emailed BMW about it and they said they would pass my comments on to the relevant department.
I was looking at an M235i and emailed a dealer for a quote and I have heard nothing back... As I recall the Pro Nav added about £500-£600 to the final value, HK about £200 and nothing for my other options (electric seats, adaptive suspension, xenons)346317028 |

When I ordered my 335d last October pro nav added almost £1000 to the future value. It was the reason I swayed to getting it because at £ 2000 I think it's a rip off option as it doesn't even include updates at that price.
I think you get more back on packs of options as opposed to individually specced items. |

What you can do, which sort of works for most options - is using one of the many national leasing web sites such as....
http://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/?h2=t This will show you (with a small margin of error) the difference in monthly payments for the different options - you need to select the car make/model, and match the lease period to the BMW finaance length, and then make sure you select PERSONAL lease, otherwise it will miss off the VAT cost. |

TRL did a post on babybmw.net a few months back. I'm sure they will be different for a 3 series, but not a million miles out:

You know, looking at this list, one thing strikes me - what is standard vs what is an option.
For instance, when I was configuraing my 4-series (March 2014), I was quoted something like £250 for rear fold-down seats, and £300 for heated seats. As I was pushing my budget anyway, I passed on both options..... ..when my car was delivered, it came with both anyway! |

5 door and HK audio are the winners in that list.
Adaptive suspension adds £0! I guess its just seen as a something to go wrong cost source?
