Ok so I went to use the nav for the first time today, and Derby does not show as a town, neither does the DE postcode! Is it just me or can someone else confirm theirs is the same? Had to break out google maps on the phone, disappointing to say the least!

Having been there, I have to agree it's not a town.

A number of places in the UK should by law be removed from both Sat Nav and google maps.

Wolverhampton being one of those places.

I agree but I was meeting my boss (and I was late) due to nav issues

Just tried the postcode and works fine.

Just been out to check for you... Yes, it's fully loaded with Derby! In fact it's 122 miles away

what version of maps are you on? if the services were new, it might not know the postcode. Try DE24 9HY which is long standing building in Derby.

If that works ok, its just your maps need updating as the services is new.

I couldn't find DE anything? I pressed D on the wheel, and then E was not an option at all? Am I doing it wrong? Likewise for Derby as the town. My maps are 2014-1, car was built Dec 2013.

I think this may be user error, although I'm not sure how else it works? Does it only look at contacts from my iphone maybe?

Strange....

Sounds like user error. Choose guidance, destination input, enter new destination and then you'll see country at the top (make sure that is Great Britain) and underneath, city/postcode. That is where you type it.

Argh! it was user error, what a kn**.....

When the red circle is on the "D" the "E" looks like an "F" haha as the red circle chops off the bottom of "E", sorry for wasting your time everyone

Maybe it spells how words are pronounced....

Try DA instead....:-D

I live near Derby, the sat nav says Derby with a really weird accent - almost like a Derby accent!
