Combustion Misfire Codes

29CE - Combustion misfires, cylinder 2
29CF - Combustion misfires, cylinder 3
29CC - Combustion misfires, several cylinders

This a bit after I got a walnut blast, installed BMS OCC, RB PCV, and new OEM plugs.

On light throttle, I can cruise around town, but anything with a little boost and the car starts to hiccup and will struggle to accelerate. Finally caught these codes. After a restart of the car, the CEL will disappear and will be "normal" again until I push the car a bit.

I have now replaced all coils with all new OEM stuff.

Do you guys think its the HPFP or injectors? My CPO just ended last month, so I'm hoping it's the HPFP.

Bum new plugs?

Move the plugs to different cylinders and see if the misfire follows.......or put your old plugs back into cylinders 2&3 and see if misfire goes away.

Easiest place to start process of elimination.

Unfortunately tried the old plugs already. My car was down for a week waiting for the new coils after trying that.

Bump, ideas guys?

Car is going to the dealer tomorrow, but that's for a different warranty issue.
I may just have them look into it.

combustion misfire 3 & 4

I recently replaced my valve cover gasket. And as you know, I had to take the valvetronic motor out. My question is how do I relearn the valvetronic motor manually without having to use ISTA. I believe this is whats causing a combustion misfire on cylinders 3 & 4. I have already checked my coil packs and had already replaced them with new OEM ones about 6 months ago. I have also checked and replaced all my spark plugs as well. I know there could be other causes, but here is a list of items I have already replaced. Both Vanos Solenoids, both DISA Valves, Differential Sensor, Oil Temperature Sensor, Coolant Sensor, Oil Housing Gasket, and MAF Sensor. I believe you cannot go cheap on these vehicles and have purchased all OEM parts. With all these parts replaced this is the reason I believe my Valvetronic motor is the cause of the Misfires. And before I start working on the injectors I want to get information on how to relearn the Valvetronic motor. I would really appreciate any advise or help provided Thank you in advance. Have good day.

It would make sense to start your own thread. The OP has an N54 motor with turbos, yours is an N51 or 52 normally aspirated. Most likely your problems do not relate to his.
