New E85 Calculator for Android
Super simple easy to use app for calculating Ethanol Percentage and Octane of a fuel mixture.
Google Play Store Link I will be releasing it on iOS within the next two weeks most likely. Please give me constructive feedback and I will try to make the app better for everyone Thanks, Kenny UPDATE v2: -App now tells you how many gallons of each fuel type to use based on your desired E% you enter. -App takes into account the size of your tank and current gallons / e% in the tank -App saves your values so the next time you load the app all your previous metrics persist -App now has variable for pump gasoline E%

The suggestion was to have gallons your tank can hold, current gallons of E** and desired E%. This would display gallons of gas and ethnol needed to obtain that mix. I will figure out the best way to do this. |

It would be awesome if you could make another tab (or modify the original) where you input the size of your tank and the desired percentage and it calculates how much of each to put in your tank.
Either way, let me know when you update the app because I turn off auto updates on all my apps. |

Just bought it. If you can add the pre-fill option it will be perfect. Just make sure you give the opportunity to adjust E% for prefill as well to allow account ability for station differences.

Why does everyone feel the need to know your ethanol % down to the tenth of a percent. Our cars ignition advance and boost will probably be maxed out at e50.
I run 14 degrees of advance up top with e35+ and 19lbs of boost midrange but I also run 50/50 meth mix to be safe. There really can't be much more you're getting out of putting 6 gallons of e85 in vs 8 gallons, I can't imagine some people are fine tuning their cars to that extent on every fill-up. |

ill try it for ios.i use 1/3tank of e85 but this is good for times when the ethanol is not 85% and you have to adjust the blend.

However, if you don't know if you're running E30 or E50...that can be an issue...a big issue. As you pointed out, your "E85" pump could be dispensing anything from 65% to 95% ethanol and I've seen everything in between. That's huge if you're tuning or wanting to run JB4 on map 7. It's not about "taking you guys money", it's about providing you all with the tools (and education) you need to run safely and reach your goals. I really hope that's not how I come across as I really try to price my products very fairly for you all (as is Knissel's). This stuff takes a huge amount of time to develop, test, produce, and support. Cheers, Steve

Yeah, I just use this website
http://www.intercepteft.com/calc.html and I made a note on my phone of the fill ups I do the most to have them handy... done it so much now that I know the conversions and remember what I use when I'm at X gallons anyway. The bottom two on that site are the exact same and are also free!

With the app it saves your information so you don't have to re-enter each time and it gives you exactly how many gallons of each fuel you need based on what E% you want, to me that is more convenient. 99 cents is a fraction of one gallon of E85 and for me I would rather use the app. |

I had to spend 25$ to put the app on Android and $105 to put it on iPhone. Google takes 30 cents from each transaction and Apple takes 29 cents. So I have had 10 downloads so I am still negative after the hours I spent creating the app and putting it on the two app stores. The only reason I didn't make it free was because I personally hate ads and I figured if people are running E85 and modding their cars they could afford 99 cents. I guess I am being unfair though? |
