Great M3 Review

I watched this on on the iPad with earphones, engine sounds amazing I'd say. This video will make you feel GREAT about cars again.

Forgive me, I know this is the F30/32 forum but you should have a watch.

I really enjoy watching his videos. This is the first time I noticed they really got a fact wrong. They said the motor was a V-6 and not a I-6. Might have to leave a comment on their noobtube page.

No question the M3/4 is an unbelievable car from a technical point of view. Maybe this is just nostalgia but I think an M3 should appeal on an emotional level as well as a technical level. Previous M3s go screaaaaaaam. This one goes buzzzzzzzzz. Maybe we'll just have to get used to the fact that the classic M3 sound is a thing of the past. Still want one though.

Have to say that droney engine noise in the cabin would drive me up the wall all the time and it sounds pretty dull. Seems to sound better outside from the ~2 second clip, but that didn't come across inside the car... Not very impressed! I'm sure it drives pretty well, though and with a welcome return to a STRAIGHT six and less weight.

E92 sounds like the car for you still then. Comfort mode reduces drone there us quite a good post on the exhaust and settings somewhere, this is being driven in Sport + on the track.

Yes, I'm sure BMWs latest M car drives 'pretty well' after years of development, engineering and testing. Heck it might even be.....good..?

Nah, not with a new F32 arriving next weekend! Sounds a bit naff compared to my previous E46 M3s - that's the difference with forced induction I suppose... Oh well, that's progress I guess!

Well, they don't always get it right. The E36 was pretty lame. And SMG I? Hmmm...! The E46 changed all that though.
