Can we assume that when MY2015 comes out, pricing will be more competitive?

Spoke to one dealership and he said that pricing isn't that competitve now because allocations are sparse due to a short MY2014. Is it safe to say then that when 2015 comes out with more M235i's being available that we'll see more competitive pricing, maybe not the 12-15% off MSRP like the 3 series, but at least better than the 3-5% off MSRP now?

Really don't expect a price change through the rest of the year whether 2014 or 2015 model. Do expect to see a small price hike come early Spring 2015 as par for the course. The convertible F23 will more than likely be $4-5K more than the F22 hardtop.

5-8% below invoice for a 3 series? That is ED invoice pricing. Can you back that statement up with anything or did you just manufacture it out of whole cloth?

Highly doubt any price drop, if anything, people were forecasting an MSRP increase

If a car is sitting on the lot well into July that is 2014MY, BMW may offer some extra trunk money that the dealership can use to push inventory at their discretion.

I don't expect to see an M235i sitting on the lot for a month though, unless it was really badly optioned. And 228i's already get pretty good mark downs on account of them not selling as well as BMW hoped.

I'm hoping that they increase M235i production and allocation and decrease 228i production, but BMW also needs to sell more of the N20 at least for the sake of emissions goals.
