How to Sell a used car and PASS emissions

Hello,

I have never sold a used car before. I was told just go to the ministry of transportation and take a used car package. Any other advice?

Secondly,

Can i sell the car privately without safety and etest? safety is only rear brake pads.

Thirdly,

I have a catless downpipe and a procede v5 tune. Apparently i can't pass e-test. If i swap to my stock downpipes, i have to enable the o2 sensor again, does anyone remember how to do this? just CAN clear off?

any advice would be great. i am trying to sell my car as I am moving out of the country.

Assuming you're in Ontario, you might want to read through this
http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dan...cle/used.shtml

If you want to sell a car that does not pass safety or emissions you need to let the buyer know you're selling "As Is" and safety and emissions not included.

If it is only rear brake pads most used car dealers just slap on some cheap brakes... you could technically do the same.

Enabling O2 is through coding.

i did my etest on monday...i have catless dp and still passed, you are allowed 1 not ready in the emissions readiness monitor. if you put the oem dps on the car needs to be driven for a few days afterwards for the system to register as ready..hth

^ you take it off. You're not supposed to run your car long with it on. Willing to sell? I'm looking for one
