Rear reflectors sorted!

IMO The rear reflectors really ruin the look of the F31 so I sprayed them with Halfords plastic bumper paint in dark grey I think it looks great and it was only took 5mins to get them out and £6.49 a can..

I agree, not a huge fan. I also didn't like the look of the front or rear lights so I completely blacked those out too. Then there's that ugly windscreen...

Stunning. I hate the reflectors too, especially on estoril. Not so bad on white, red or black. I think the 1 series has them in the rear lights, why can't the 3 /shrug

Great, cheap mod to instantly make the rear look better. How is the colour match?

Nice! I did the same thing with a blend of plasti-dip and you would never know they were even there. I agree they really kill the otherwise clean looking diffuser.

Like it, agree it's an improvement. MOT ages away and can peel off then.

+1. Really ruins an otherwise lovely bum.

Here's a tip for a cheap mod that will sort that right out.

Hairdryer £5 Sainsburys.
Dental floss £1 Sainsburys.

It's pretty close for a cheap off the shelf product although it is a matte finish but it look kinda right

I did remove the reflectors before I painted them, I'm not mental !
A bit of white spirit would put it back to standard

Is it not a requirement to have these reflectors?

Might look better but not so great if you have to park on an unlit road.

Hmmm, not to my taste but then each to their own.

Only just noticed that the F31's have a rather prominent square cover for the towing eye. That would put me right off getting one

Yeah I guess your right, you could change them back to as they were... I wasn't suggesting that you did paint them on the car :-)

I guess you won't be too bothered if someone rear ends you at some point either ?? Surely these are put on the car for a reason !

Wonder how you would stand if the person driving in to the car said it was because of no reflector visible?

Yeah that's what I was thinking, any excuse to get out of the claim. I'll open another can of worms,,,,,

Would the insurance co want to know about this as "it's a modification" ??
