M235i Lease Pricing

My local dealership just got 2 M235is in so I went over for a test drive and to see what the pricing was like. Sticker was 50.4k and they took 1k off to get to a capitalized cost of 49.4k. However, even at 63% residual the lease deal (36 months, 10k miles, with 2k down) was still ~750. I didn't try to negotiate as it was more of a feeler visit, but I was wondering what people who have them already got their lease down to?

I'm not looking for the sticker price, I am looking for what people are paying on a lease

Ok but it would be worth your time to figure out monthly based on lease figures. Otherwise you chase a monthly and have no idea how to make your case for it. Maybe others can come in with their monthly.

So you don't think this main pricing thread titled "Official 2 series pricing thread (POST YOUR DEALS)" contains what other people are paying on a lease?

So an "ok" lease deal without any lease markups should look something like this for 50400 MSRP:

Net Cap Cost: (50400 * .97) - 1000 = $47888 (This is assuming a 3% discount on MSRP. This isn't the best you can do, but you can find a dealer that will do this without too much effort if you shop around)
Residual: 50400 *.63 = 31752
Depreciation = (47888 - 31752)/36 = $448.22
Interest = (47888 + 31752)*.00130 = $104.53

Assuming 10% sales tax (this is high, but for napkin math)
(448+104)*1.1 = $608.03

Now, lets say you start rolling in other fees:
Every $100 you roll in, increases your monthly payment by:
((100/36) + (100*.0013)) * 1.1 = $3.20

SO, Say your fees are:
acq: 725
Title: 700
dealer doc: 100
more sales tax on fees: 100

that's about an extra $1750 in fees. Even if you added all of that in, you are looking at a monthly payment of $660 with only your first month's payment to walk out the door.

Like everyone said, run away. They are so far outside of reasonable that you are wasting your time even starting the discussion with them.

That is a very big help, thanks for taking the time to break it down

I have a question for you guys, I purchased M235i fully loaded for $53250 (MSRP), my dealer was not negotiating at all, and another dealer quoted even more for a lease... I am in Miami.

My lease offer is $6800 Down, includes all taxes (7%), dealer fees and everything, also includes first month payment. And $600 per month after that. Is it too expensive? Am I paying too much for this car?

Wish the mods would merge this with the main pricing thread. Jason???
