Angry yet another 403m damaged thread

Hi guys I know its been asked a million times before and I know the 403M's are diamond cut, but do you think this could be repaired? Its on the corner of the alloy not so much the flat part.

Ironically tried to avoid the width restriction on Hammersmith Bridge so took Chiswick bridge only to clip partially fallen kerbstone at the traffic lights.

Could be worse as both wheels glanced it as pace and it seems just the front is damaged on the corner.

I see the Tyre is cut a bit, is that OK? It was a fair old glance as I sped away from lights. I have tyre insurance FYI.

Thanks

Yeh they are diamond cut then clear coated. Could be repaired but would not be the same finish in that area as the cut has been taken out. Feel for you

cheers man if anyone knows of a repairer in the SW London area.

I was toying with the idea of buying a fresh 403M set off ebay with new tyres but I doubt I'd need the tyres changing after my 3 year PCP as I am doing about 6k miles a year.

We had diamond cut wheels on a volvo v60, the wife completely mashed the front ones, ten times worse than yours. A local repairer who was recommended by Volvo dealers patched them up a treat. A year down the line the repaired areas were as good as new. The point is dont buy a new one as they can easily be repaired and it'll only happen again. Ask your local dealer who they use and go direct.

That being the case you can make a claim from the local authority. A fallen kerbstone is poor maintenance.

Check their website for insurance/claim section and take photos etc.
