Do my turning fogs look like a vw?

Over the last month, I've see quite a few vw cars where their left or right fog lights come on very easily. Just now I saw one waiting to turn right from a main road and had it lit up, assumingly because its steering wheel was slightly turned.

Does the f3x do the same? I thought it just kicked in when it was a hard right and the full headlights were actve, I.e. Just small turns and/or DRLs don't activate them.

Wait until you get folks coming up to you and saying "do you know you've got a light out?"

I think it's a bit of a cheapo way of doing it though.

My Mondeo has specific cornering bulbs in the main headlight assembly.

They actually do light up side turnings very well, unlike just using fogs.

That and it's like 7 years old technology.

My 5-series has turning lights in the inner headlight units, fogs only come on during sharp turns, in addition to the headlights.

I'm sure the 3-series is the same.

That might have been me, with a colleague at work in a Golf. Thought it was faulty.

The E90 facelift with adaptive had little LEDs in the corners for low speed light to the side when turning and they worked quite well, and did look cooler than how the F30 does it. However in practice I've found them to work absolutely fine. I really notice that the Z4 hasn't got them!

Yes same if you have adaptive lights.

Yep, I think so. Been in underground carparks and seen them come on when I do a large turn. I saw a golf light come on when it did a 30 degree turn which seemed very strange.
