Detailing, opticoat, bra, coding, etc.
Anyone have a good one-stop shop for post-purchase detail work, opticoat, tinting, clear bra, etc that you're planning to take your brand new M3 to?
I'm assuming I'm going to want all of that done, and it would be nice to go to a one-stop-shop (that isn't the dealer) who can knock it all out in a few days. I'm in Brooklyn but willing to travel for quality (not terribly far though!). |

I use http://www.sunandshade.net/ for everything and the majority of their work is with Imports / European cars including exotics. About a 2+ hour ride from Brooklyn with smooth Traffic. They are a certified 3M Dealers and are highly meticulous with work down to using Qtips for tiny crevice cleaning. They have a great reputation and people travel from other states to have them work on their cars. I will be having them do a 2 day project on my car that will include:
Project estimated at around 2k to complete.

I prefer Tom from The Art of Tint .... he's in Brooklyn and uses Pinnacle Formula 1 (NY-Metro area exclusive dealer)
Film is color stable, and has awesome clarity ... his work is impeccable. No dust under the film. Be sure to ask him to do the door windows as if they are frameless ... this will ensure a razor-edge finish and "to-the-edge" tinting. I'm OCD and like to roll with the windows half open all-around in nice weather ... don't want to see any tint lines He also does a great job at tinting windshields Btw ... Coding I can do for you ... ************************* Last edited by pillpusher84; 07-06-2014 at 04:30 PM.. |

Would love some suggestions. I love washing/claying/polishing/waxing my own car (just basis stuff by hand, no PC or anything like that). But with a toddler and newborn on the way, my time has dwindled.
What exterior products do you suggest for someone that can spend 30-60 minutes every other week cleaning their car? Looking for a balance of quality AND ease of use/application. Thanks! |
