How much do these cars depreciate, im talking 335d SE.

According WhatCar.com
I guess they are basing this around 'average' mileage of 12K per year?

You are welcome Carlos. Just scale the figures up accordingly.
I've added the 335d M Sport and a MINI Cooper S to the scenario. I guess these are just predictions but look quite interesting...

For the more essential items, such as leather, nav, auto the graph will be similar, just at higher values. However, if you have added extras like Logic 7, heated seats, folding mirrors, etc etc, these items are considered more superfluous and don't contribute significantly to the value of the car secondhand. Therefore in this case, the depreciation curve will be steeper. Or in other words, you don't get your money back that you paid extra in the first place.

Remember, a lot of options dont make any difference to the residual value, so at £36k, its a good average, discounted price with a few options

That said, BM' do quite well, as long as one gets a decent discount then its not too bad. I'm quite impressed with my GTi, its held up reasonably well. But its best not to think too much about it..... |

Carlos, that is one of those questions which has too many variables to give an accurate value of a car.
Everything said above plus, price for selling private, trading in for another new car, dealer pressure to shift units depending on volume of new vehicle sales at time of negotiation, how close to a change of year plate etc., trading in for a second hand vehicle of the same marque but 'moving up' the ladder so to speak. From what I've seen, mileage does affect values more than I realised. Any values given can only be used as a guide IMO. |

I have seen a pattern of Carlos's posts.
Insurance Predicted value after three years. Looks like daddy is asking for Carlos to pay for the car and to insure the car so that he can rightfully call it his car.
