Picked up a 2014 GTR

Cancelled the order on the M4 and picked up a 2014 GTR.

That's a fun car! I had a blast with my GTR. The only issue is the transmissions....we all tracked our GTRs and Nissan likes to cancel warrantys when you track the car. They don't replace any parts on the trans, you have to do the whole thing, so you might end up replacing it .... for $28,000. Awesome car, just DON'T take it to the track/mod it unless you find a mod friendly dealer. Fontana Nissan is awesome if you live in CA.

The car looks great and I love the blue. As long as you are happy that is all that matters.

Hey it's a seven if my kid get's his hands in the badge of my four, apparently it's not cool if the three is not in the mix.

Strange that Nissan USA cancels warranties for tracking a GTR. Nissan dealers in South Africa sponsored track days for GTR owners, and warranties were never cancelled.

As far as modding goes, most all manufacturers will cancel you warranty if and when you decide to mod your car. Nissan is not alone on this issue.

Just bought a brand new Porsche and I was instructed by sales person that my warranty would be cancelled if I ever tracked my car.

By the way, love my GTR and it remains my favorite.

This isn't true and hasn't been the case for YEARS. Every part is fully serviceable and the aftermarket has done a fantastic job of updating/improving any of the problem areas....as has Nissan themselves. The 2014s trans is great. The 09 trans was great also, it was the aggressive launch control of that first year that was breaking first gear.

Anyway, just to give you an idea of how far things have come, you can have your trans built to handle 1000 hp/ 900 tq at the crank for 5900 bucks. Pretty damn awesome.

I loved my GT-R for the few years I had it. Just wanted to try something different. They are very endearing cars and respond insanely well to mods. I'll likely have another soon to complement the M3 and the 997TT.
