Dallas custom steering wheel
Anyone use these guys?
Want to get my non sport wrapped to look like pic. Was quoted about $500 with extra padding, thumb bumps, and shipping. What you think? Thanks |

IDK...the M3 Tri-stitched steering wheel is only $455 at Tischer.

Agree with both comments above, center kills it, also its a bit pricy, but if you like it and don't mind paying for it then go for it man, I'd personally get a m3 tri color wheel

It looks fine to me for the price since getting the center swapped from a non-sport to sport version isn't exactly cheap.

That steering wheel looks a little lumpy and awkward to me (says the guy with the Bimmian shifter). But damn that's a fraction of what it would cost to go full sport wheel with new airbag and all. If you like the wheel, I'd say go for it.

Also that pic is from a different company.
I'd also have to get wiring harness. $150 from BMS tuning agree that sport, mtech, etc wheels are nicer. It's just the cost of sport airbag that's the killer In the for sale section under interior items is a vendor "carzone" that is doing wraps too. Looks to be similar pricing. |

$500 is a lot of money to spend to make a non sport wheel look like an M Sport wheel with a blue stripe and tri color stitching.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=993119 That dude is selling a full set up of an OEM M Sport wheel. That one in the pic looks like poor quality. You could buy the OEM one, sell yours (with airbag) and be at around $500 all in.

I don't think it looks terrible; better than the non-sport wheel but not as good as an OEM sport wheel...
I think this is a good example of holding out and buying a car that has all of the equipment you want. People spend a fortune, and a LOT of time and aggravation, retrofitting sport package on a non-sport car. It's not like the sport package was rare at all. |

Its certainly an OEM airbag. I have never seen a non OEM airbag of any sort.

My brother just got his steering wheel redone by Dallas Custom for his Evo X.
It feels great! Top notch service.
