Front license plate

For you Maryland 2ers, is there any legal loophole to avoid mounting the front license plate?

Looks so much better without it. . .

Maryland is tough on this one. I had been with someone in a park and officer checking registration stickers gave them a ticket for not having it mounted (was in the front window).

Here is Virginia I have been driving without a front plate for 3 months now and haven't been stopped or ticketed yet. My dealer ask me if I wanted to leave it off telling me they had VA State Troopers who buy cars from them said they don't stop or ticket really nice cars for not have the plate mounted. Not sure if the county mounties feel the same way, but I'm running the risk of leaving it off for now. I do have the plate, mounting bracket, screws, and driver in the trunk just in case.

In Virginia (Arlington), I once got pulled over twice in two days for not having a front plate. When I showed the second cop the first ticket and he realized not enough time had passed for me to fix it, he let me go.

I stopped doing no front plates after that. Plus, by having a front plate you can avoid damage to your bumper if an idiot bumps you while parking.

Thanks, gents. Guess I'll get used to the look of the front plate. And good call about bumper parking protection.

And the no hole license plate won't work with PDC. I've looked in to that option. I'm heading to virginia in a month. Debating on whether or not I'm going to mount it. I'm in the military I wonder if the MP's will be dicks about it.

I think I'm going to risk it as well. I heard they are uber gay with the laws in virginia though.

I just pay the fines. It pisses the Cops off when you simply politely tell them you understand you are guilty

I'm in Maryland and been driving 11 months with no front tag.
Once a week I drive by or sometimes park a few hundred feet from the State Police Headquarters and the Troopers drive by and see me sitting in the car and never stop me.

MD registered car. No front tag. I've passed a few cops who were clearly looking at my car and they did nothing.
