Connection assistance disappeared?

Has anyone had issues with their connected drive "connection assistant disappearing"? I normally hook my iphone into my usb cord, open pandora and then go to connection assistant to load the app into my Idrive. Today I hooked in Pandora and nothing happened (normally the iphone screen goes to "pandora" with the arrows and locks out all functions through the phone. Today it wouldn't lock out...Im going to call the dealer tomorrow, but they're over an hour away.

This happens occasionally to me. Usually the next time I am in the car it is working again. I have not been able to figure out what causes it to not connect.
