Cruise Control - minimum 70 km?

On a recent test drive, the Product Genius mentioned that the minimum cruise control setting in the F30 was 70 km/hr. Is this true?

I use cruise all the time. It's probably why I have only 1 speeding ticket in 24 years of driving.

Can it be coded to operate at a lower speed if this is the case?

Humm, dunno who told you, but I use it in our 30 kph zone at 35 (just to be sure that I won't go too much overspeed).

Was actually a feature I did find interesting since my 1st BMW.

Should try it if you do a road test.

I rarely use it, but have used it a couple times around 60kph so it definitely works below 70 kph. Not sure what the lowest level of engagement is, I've never tried playing around with it.

I know though when you start up cruise the little dot automatically jumps to either 30 or 40kph...maybe that's the lowest?

I set it at 40 all the times when going through school zones, or areas where fines are doubled!
