I do have to say it feels really good to be seeing the 540i badge again. My first Bimmer was a '98 540i Wagon and even though a couple cylinders will be missing, the nostalgia factor is real! (EDIT: Well that and the new 540i will still easily outpower the old)

I don't know, but I think that the inline six diesel version should be on sale by the end on 2017. I own a 530d (F10) and looking for order a G30 540d. In my opinion, diesel's are the coiche for everyday driving, M5 apart, due to cost/effectiveness that we have here in Europe, especially the gasoline cost.......

But, If you try a current 530d, you'll be surely impressed by how the engine push and catch speed.

I recall bmwna saying Feb/Mar for first customer cars to arrive.
