Idrive software current version

I previously had these versions before I brought my car in for service:

Telephone: TB-005.002.001
Media: MB-005.002.001

they did the Istep reprogramming on my car earlier this week overnight and now my Idrive current software is

Telephone: TB-005.012.001
Media: MB-005.012.001

Located in Canada.... not sure if it is country specific software

Can that be updated by anyone or do I need to take it to a service center/dealer to get it updated?

Anyone with a programming PSU. It is not available as a small *.bin file to load onto usb.

What's the current version now? Both what the iStep version would be and what the phone/media would show.

None except it now says Apple something on the I drive screen. I don't have an apple product and so was initially concerned that my android products would complain. But no all is well on testing. There's also a roll back in case of problems to factory or last software.

Only TB and MB software were updated with HB remaining as factory.

Not sure what HB element is. T is for telephone and M for media.

It looks like there is a new version out. I asked for mine to be updated while the car was in for something else, and it's been updated to these versions.
I haven't spotted any difference so far.

My dealer updated my car this week with the same version due to Spotify issues. Spotify is still, well spotty. A few issues with it fixed like the song timer is now smooth. However messages and missed calls keep appearing as new even though they have been read. Oh well can't have everything.....
