What's up with the rumor that the 545e won't make it stateside?

Because BMWUSA would rather sell you a 745e at an even higher profit margin.

Not too bad at all - mercifully, it has been spared the same treatment as the 7

I think that scrapes through as ok but to be honest its fine as it is today.
It does look like a skoda / <insert name of many others cars here> so not so distinctive.

When BMW introduced the "angel eyes " on the E39 LCI (think I'm right in saying that was the first car to get these?) they made a very distinctive look to the make and for a while you knew you had a Beemer behind you at night.
these days, it could be just about anything.

I cringe at what the next 5 may look like.Perhaps might be the last combustion ones, but that's another topic.

I've recalled this exact same photo appeared in the US News automotive section/article in June 2018. That article talked about the new 2018 BMW 5 series "what you need to know", at that time (2018) pre-LCI. Needless to say, this is an airbrushed photo.

Did he mean model year 2021? They'll begin taking orders for those in July with delivery in August-September.

Do you guys think waiting for the 2021 facelift is worth it?
I have a good offer on the 2020 version that I don't want to waste if the changes are minor!

The changes seem mild for this LCI. Like what I can make out of the headlights and twilights.

Curious about interior changes if any.

You don't mess with success BMW.

Besides the full iDrive 7.0, the other major "under the bonnet" change for the volume seller 530i will be the upgraded B48 engine as used in the G20 330i (and been used in the 630i GT since its launch). Not a big jump in peak power but a significant increase in torque. Should be an even better drive.

Yes I can see the 530i going from 258 pounds feet of torque to 295 or thereabouts.

With that said, I have driven the G20 330i with the "Improved" B48 and to be honest it doesn't feel substantially faster or torquier compared to the B48 in my 2017 530i.

I would think there could also be a change in gear ratios on the G30 530i LCI.

I doubt very much there is an increased grille size in store for this generation of the G30.

The 8th generation 5-Series is due around 2023 and you may see some substantial changes there. Time will tell.
