Hey guys, after owning an F10 for 2 years i decided to upgrade, naturally to the G30.

I managed to find one i liked last September and quickly made the change.
I didn't create a thread here at the time as i didn't think id do much to the car, but naturally upgrades soon followed.

It was a nice low milage example with a few nice extras



And here she is compared to my old F10



and after the first wash:

First things i did to the car was a full service using my favourite oil Liqui Moly

All filters,
Liqui Moly TopTec 4200
Liqui Moly engine flush
Liqui Moly Ceratec



And coded a few bits including
Full Screen apple carplay
Video in Motion
Screen Mirroring
Sport Plus with Launch Control
Speed Limit and no Passing information read from road signs






Then i decided i'll spend some cash on a good quality detail and a CS2 Titanium ceramic coating, i even got a chance to polish a bit of the bonnet

I then remapped the car to 230bhp using a TC-Tuning map
Car now looked immaculate and was a joy


but then the modding bug really woke in me.

I ordered a front splitter, rear boot spoiler and black side vent trims along with the m5 double slatted grill
and
Managed to get my hand on some Iconic BMW adaptive LED headlights

Here how that went down:

This retrofit included the high beam assist, so i installed the new stalk and a replacement airbag as mine had a tiny cut that was really bothering me.

This is probably the most expensive mod, but also my favourite. Driving at night is so much better now!

I then received my christmas present in the form of new wheels from my second half

Blacked out 20" M5 style 706M wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's



Wheels got ceramic coated using GTechniq C5 Wheel coating before mounting

Which more less brings us to how the car looks now:

Rear diffuser and exhaust,
Black out the window trim,
Gearbox service

Is the larger mann filter for the intake or the cabin filter? I've been trying to find replacements from mann but it has been a pain.

That was the air filter for a 520d

Question about the headlights, how much difference is between standard LED's and ICON's ? Is it only about the range or are they much brighter also ?

They Are fully adaptive, so they turn in corners, and when you have high beam assistant turned on they tunnel high beam around other cars so you dont dazzle them but still have full beams on.

FYI this is for European cars, i believe for cars in US this is illegal, although there are ways to bypass this from what i know

Thanks! We still got ways to go

Here's how the ceramic coating holds up after 6 months.
(Nothing apart from normal maintenance washes has been done to it since)

Had a moment this easter saturday to fix one eyesore which was the calipers

Can't justify spending money on the big brake kit on a 520d so painting had to suffice.

Let me know what you think of the sticker.. i'm still in two minds about it

The sticker is good. Lifts it up.

I like the black and the sticker would be OK if it wasn't curling in the corner. It's too big, needs to be a little smaller so it can fit properly.
