Fog lights smoked out? 540i m sport

Has anyone ever smoked out the front fog lights on their 540i M sport?

I personally find them as kind of an eye sore / in the way of a cleaner front look. Was wondering if anyone has done it and what the results looked like. Particularly with BSM / CB paint.

I think Lamin-X is a good solution since it is easy to install. It can be removed easily also if you want to go back to stock look.

It definitely looks better smoked, as it makes the air intakes appear bigger, like the m550i. Haven't done it on mine yet, but will soon.

I am a bit late but I did a fog light "delete" last summer. Turned out well, ends up looking similar to the M5 front end which doesn't have the fog lights there like the G30s do. Here's a low qual pic with a not-so-clean car (hopefully the pic works!):

To each their own, but I think the fog lights break up the front rather nicely, especially on black cars. I wouldn't opt to tint.

Just remove them and get the M550 grill to fill the area.
