So can we think there was a factory based problem on hubs of g30?
The brake "clicking" is covered under SI B34 05 17 September 2017

Defined as "Microscopic slippage of contact surface interface between inner brake disc and wheel bearing flange on vehicles equipped with lightweight brake disc".

The friction ring goes between the wheel bearing flange and the inner side of the brake disc hat.

I am looking to get some of the friction discs, everyone has them for $50, is that for 1?

Ho Lee Schmidt, I just did this to my car and it cut it down by around 90%. It's a bit ridiculous something so simple fixed an issue plaguing so many. I think I might put a layer of Aluminum tape on the hubcentric shaft to be a slightly more permanent fix than elastic tape.

Did you apply just just tape or disc? With disc will be better

Would a wheels spacer kit from Eibach also work for this purpose?

I have a theory : when i bought my car by BMW, i noticed none vibration, and the vibration came when i changed my tire after a flat. right after i came back to the mechanics because of the vibration, so they rebalanced the tire etc, with no significants results. And Now with the exactly the same tires, i added the disc and the vibration gone!maybe before the flat, the wheels were simply tighten with >140NM torque force (maybe 150NM)and this was enough to prevent vibration.
do NOT TRY, IT JUST A THEORY, a torque > 140 NM could make damages

maybe 140NM torque + discs create the good friction coefficient between hub and wheel
and 150NM (for example) and none discs create the good friction coefficient too

So how about this, when i got my car with pirelli p7's the vibration was very high and speed between 105-125km/h, after got new sets of bridgestone er300 vibrations decreased cut off for 500km then return back on 130-150 km/h speed. So strange

i remove the rubber of my hubs, only 4 friction discs and it's okay
but you have to center the wheel perfeclty! one bolt at 12 am and tight by hand the maximum, and shake the wheel to adjust, then the other bolt by hand, and then tight with the cross by hand, and finally the torque wrench 140nm ( if possible when the wheel are suspended in air)

Would this not work on its own without the need for the friction disks?

My current G31 is vibration free, but my old G30 had vibrations with 2 different sets of wheels and tyres.

I was going to change the wheels on my current G31 to something more to my taste, however I don't want to risk gaining vibrations when currently I have none!
