I am having issues with this. After trying to tap into the plug underneath the mirror cap for my radar detector, all power to the mirror seems to be gone now (garage buttons). Any reason as to why this is the case, or what may have come loose from this causing disconnection of power? Not very strong with electrical connections, but had no issue with this on my g20 before and now losing all power with my g30 from the same thing. PLEASE HELP!!

Did you check fusebox? Maybe you shorted something and blew a fuse.

Again, not too familiar with electronics, but do you know if this fuse would be located on the box in the trunk?

This is my first BMW and by accident I located the fusebox on the right side of the trunk, you can look there I'm just not sure if there is another fusebox under the hood. My old truck had a fusebox inside the truck under the dashboard on the passenger side and then another under the hood. On the cover there should be a map that tells you what each fuse if for.
