Sometimes I’ve had issues if I try to connect too quickly after turning on the car even if I had immediately put it into diagnostic mode.
Now I get in and press the start 3 times for diagnostic mode and then wait maybe 10-15 seconds This is probably a total of around 30-45 seconds after unlocking and opening the door of the car. Another thing you could try is actually starting the car and waiting a moment and then try to connect again and see if the module shows up. Just don’t try to code the DME while started. Could always turn it off and put it back into diagnostic mode after checking to see if the module appears after starting. Also, I’d check to make sure you have the correct adapter selected. I gave up on dealing with wireless ones plus I didn’t trust them and I just use a usbc to Ethernet adapter to use enet. It also reads and codes way faster. |
