I’ve been trying to find ways to put quad tips on my 2019 m540i but the only solutions are to buy a new exhaust system or remove the valves which throws a check engine light. I have a muffler delete and don’t want to spend $2000 on a new exhaust system. Any solutions?

You could just cut the OEM tips and put quad ones for probably under 200.
Though, I lost the valves doing that (didn't matter as I had already had them open and the fuse out.)

Why would it throw a check engine light though ? Never did in my case.

I have m quad tips currently and I’ve been to about 5 shops and they have said that they can’t install them without taking off the valves. It’s been quite annoying because I’ve seen multiple videos of people taking off OEM tips and putting m sport style quad tips on but theres nothing I can really do anymore if all the shops around me say it’s not possible.
