Bypassing the stick stereo amp
Hi folks, just got my 2019 bmw 540i and I am loving the car so far, but the sound is lacking. So I am asking if anyone knows if there is a way to bypass the current amp so I can install an aftermarket one to power my speakers? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Suggest you look a bimmertech . They produce an amp for the pre lci g30(. It’s different to the one for the lci)
It’s effectively a rebranded audio Fischer amp Google it and look in you tube , there are plenty of videos there Bavskund is another make but have personal knowledge on those so others can chip in on that. There are no doubt others depending upon how far you want to take it. |

Here’s the link
https://www.bimmer-tech.net/speakers...lifier-for-bmw Others may have other suggestions. Bimmertech does seem popular. I went with them for my lci ( so a different amp to what would go in a pre lci) and am pleased. I have not replaced speakers |

With either, I recommend starting with an amp upgrade before upgrading speakers. Though you may still want to upgrade the speakers. The BimmerTech amps are typically rebranded Audiotech Fischer Match amps. AP and I currently have the Up10DSP but your base system probably requires the Up8 or other.

Feel free to reach out to me if you want any info/ feedback on the bimmertech amp.
You should also probably look into coding ASD off Aswell although having said that , I think I’m right in saying the 540 didn’t have ASD. Best check on that rather than take my word for it. |

As for the BimmerTech amps, yes they are rebranded AudioTech Fischer Match amps that you could buy elsewhere and with all the additional harness parts required to integrate them with your BMW system. But BimmerTech sells everything you need as plug and play kit - amp, harness, power and ground cables, mounting bracket, etc. And they offer tuning support as well. This to me was worth going back to them for my newer G30 after my experience with the Lightwave amp in my old G30. Removes a lot of the hassle of upgrading. I have no association with them, just a satisfied customer.
