It looks great in that above spec and color although I miss that big Wing which gives it away that it's a ZR1... the hood vent also helps let us know but that's there as standard.

Stop hoarding Z06s, some of us want one eventually too.
If I were in your shoes, I would try to get a ZR1X. It absolutely has to be an insane experience. If it's running 8s, it will be as quick as a Rimac but at a quarter of the cost, hell probably like a fifth of it. And it has the grip to go around corners.

The Grass is not always greener on the other side. I'm sure everyone has heard that before.

Cars and women. Pick your poison for happiness.

On a side note, the na engine in the Z06 sounds probably so much better than the muffled turbo in the higher tier vehicles. And plus I can't really do much with that much power on the street and I would get myself into a lot of trouble. The regular stingray and the Z06 are probably the max you want to go unless you have the means and disposable income to go with the highest tier.

Getting the most expensive and fastest and most powerful car I guess is not everything and doesn't define happiness but I'm sure it would be a reasonably good experience if you're able to experience it in a safe and mature manner.

To be fair, the ZR1 (and Corvette in general) have been kicking far more expensive ass for like, ever.

If I was gonna buy a C8, I'd probably be looking at an e ray, maybe a z51. Being automatic only the e ray with its hybrid drive system seems appealing.

That said, I wouldn't touch one until they get that dumpster fire DCT fixed.

The vast majority of Corvettes are very reliable and only a few magnify the issue and advertise it because they want to vent out. The Corvette is a fantastic car and value even though it's getting more expensive. Have to keep the options in check. They are giving good discounts since supply is higher and demand is low. I'm on Corvette forum regularly and MacMulkin is a go-to dealership high volume and fair discounts from what they say.

i know, I have two of them, lol. I know you from Corvetteforum. We post in a lot of the same threads in the other cars section lol.

I still wouldn't buy a C8 because I don't like automatic sports cars that much, and I really don't like ones I have to gamble on their insanely expensive transmission on.

That's awesome , what's your username?

I can understand, I've been through so many of my share of manual vehicles Subaru BRZ Toyota 86 Honda Civic type r new Nissan 400z and so many others and they're all great cars but there's nothing like the value of a Corvette and I'm sure if the automatic transmission falters or goes wrong out to the warranty, it's not going to be as expensive as it's German and Italian exotic rivals. This one's a poor man's exotic and it will always remain that way without breaking the wallet too hard even with the high-tech components in my opinion.

Also, $175K puts you in a pretty interesting competitive bracket.

As others mentioned - cool and fast cat, almost Tesla Plaid fast, but not quite.
BTW, brand new Model S Plaid is very reasonable $79,990 right now. And has room for luggage and +4 passengers (or track tires).

a
It's "Tesla Plaid quick", not "fast", as the appliance car can never be fast.

Yes, this news is going viral right now as we speak. Paragon also did a weight comparison with and without ztk: 3919 vs 3910 lbs.

Thanks for posting and sharing.

If you missed out on the Pre-order, no worries. Status Auto Group via Dupont Registry has you covered. That is... If you have $450k.

This specific example is of the 3LZ trim level, in near-mint condition with only 7 miles on the odometer. Its optional equipment is extensive, including the carbon fiber aerodynamics kit, a carbon fiber split window, Habanero graphics against its Sea Wolf Gray Tricoat exterior, a Habanero interior, and Carbon Flash Forged wheels. According to Status Auto Group, the car could be available with a free pair of New Balance sneakers for the right price, catering to true Corvette enthusiasts. If you’re looking to be one of the first to wield the power and performance excellence of the new 1,064-horsepower American Supercar.

Prices will have to come down eventually, especially as supply increases and demand decreases—just like the Stingray and C8 Z06, even though the ZR1 is higher dollar and lower volume.

They will be on lots before you know it. Just like the Z06. Don’t believe all the BS that you will never get 1 at MSRP. It was nauseating to keep hearing all the clowns about the Z06 and their idiotic tales about never being able to get 1. Mac had a list of 10,000 people and you will wait 5 years. Now you just walk in a buy 1. Amazing how that happened

It took me a good solid 1-2 years to get my Z06s at a fair discount. I don't have any connections in the car dealer industry either.

Ok. So wait a year, see what issues if any they are going to have, then go get 1!?!! I mean, unless you just have to have it.

I was being a little funny. 😁
I do expect in a year or so for these to be had closer to sticker. Especially with the arrival of the ZR1x and the interior redisign for 2026.

I keep seeing regular C8 literally sitting with discounts. I saw a real nice Demo Z06 for under sticker a few weeks back.

The regular Stingray is a hell of a deal. It satisfies 99% of people. I still miss mine despite moving on to the Z06.
