hahaha. you sound so.... honest.

Well you are not the only one broken1. Don't worry about that.
I always get that too. Hell, I felt that few months after I got my E90.

This is what I usually do whenever my car feels boring:

1. Take it for a spin. I always go visit a quick trip to mountain road or curvy road on the way to the beach near by. Make sure to step on it a bit(not too dangerously), and feel the car.

2. Take other cars for a spin. I don't know, a camry or a civic or something. Drive it for a day. Next day morning when you grab the steering wheel of your E90, voila. Brand new car for ya!

3.If you are into tuning cars, getting new mods = +few months. Sometimes when I think about it, I "tune" or modify my car so I don't get sick of it easily. New look or new sound = New interest in your car.

If you are financially stable and can afford a new car without a hassle, then I suggest you try one of those M models or maybe even a lotus elise.

i mean like today i was actually tailing a 545i? or something and M5 along the way to work.... it was pretty cool cause we were all being aggresive in our driving and weaving--nothing TOO dangerous but i was like wow... the M5 looks a bit bulky n' buff but i dig it...

Eventually the excitement and novelty will wear off. Although I love driving my car, I agree with you that after 1 year of driving it, one can become a bit bored with it because it is now second nature driving it.

By now we have found its pros and cons and we are perhaps looking for something new to discover about the car but cannot.

I will keep my car till the next 3 series comes out and although I too am not as excited to drive it compared to 1 year ago, our e90s are still a great car to drive.

I think a nice mountain climb or cross country drive is required to pep us up a bit. Well at least for me as I haven't taken the car for a nice drive for months. Might be the good medicine.

Drive up somewhere that has cute girls who are impressed by nice cars.

That'll do it.

Make sure there are no exotic cars around.

like everyone else has been saying. Get a couple of nice things for your car, and go take it for a good drive. If you have a regular 9-5, then I dunno if you're bored of the car necessarily as much as your daily routine in it. It's been a year for me as well, and I still love the car, but I am rather bored of my commute (at least it's short).

You could always drive it less. Kidding... It certainly will make you apprecaite it more when you do drive it.

Is it an automatic? I never tire of my manual BMW's whereas I have no desire to drive my wife's slushbox after a few times when we first get it.

Nope!!! Not bored at all, I love my car, and always will, I just know it! This is the first "really nice" car I have ever owned. I constantly find some new line, or color that I think is amazing! People constantly tell me how nice it is, and every day I fall more in love with my e90!

I drove a 92 escort wagon for almost ALL of High school, So i am making up for it now!

Not bored here yet either. I've also had mine since May. May 10th to be exact -- This Friday is the 100th day Anniversary. Planning on transfering the lease and getting myself a V8 M3 or Porsche Cayman S by December 2007 (year and a half after I got my 330i by then). I tend to change cars every 18 months because I'm one that gets bored pretty fast.

You're not crazy, you're going through a mid-e90 life crisis. Best thing to do? After a complete detailing job, take the vehicle to a GM or Ford dealership. Just park it near their inventory. Grab a folding chair and sit about 20 feet away, and take down notes like you were bird watching.

You'll soon discover that the disinterest you have in your car, really sparks a lot of interest in the guy bringing in his Focus SVT for the sixth time cause that "noise" he keeps hearing is bugging the hell out of him.

Then there's the young couple looking at the Ford Fusion and they'll notice your car and wonder, "Hmmm, are we really that stupid?" Jot down their about face from the lot...

What ever it is, the prescription for your boredom is this: You need to take it out and have fun with it. It's liberating, really. To take anything out, and to have fun with it is sublime...

I've had mine for a year now, and although it's an awesome car...it's started to feel to big and almost bland in a way. I don't get excited to drive it anymore and it just feels like a family car to me now.

I want something young, sporty, possibly roof down and most importantly fun. I've loved my E90...but I'm really starting to think it's time to move on?

Am I crazy?

One word... MODS!

Mods will help subside your current feelings, but keep in mind that at the end of the day, it is still a sedan. It feels like a family car cuz it IS. There's only so much sportiness & excitement you can pull out of a sedan. Trade it in for a nice new P-car. Truly sport car feelings will arise. Good luck.

Neuron, I knew you were smart! But this is the post of the day!

I stopped by the Ford Dealership yesterday to get a Mustang Brochure (why not dream a little?). I always park my car in full view of the sales floor. Next thing, the sales manager and some of the guys are pressed up against the window, "hey look at that! All right! A BMW, what kind is it?? (debadged)" LOL! You hit the nail on the head.

Another time I was at the Civic dealership looking at the new Si. While I was asking questions about his car for sale, he was drooling over my E90....he finally asked me"why are you looking at Hondas when you already have the perfect car?"

So Broken, I think you need to go to a few dealerships like Neuron says!!

One other thing that has me excited is my Goodyear F1 DS-G3s are on their way and should be installed next Tuesday....new shoes=new car!!

i must admit i am becoming a bit bored sometimes. the 3 series is everywhere now. my car is still a bit special as it has been done up with kerscher front, ACS rear spolier and M tech rear. yesterday, a bloke/stranger walked by my car on the street with his chick and shouted, ' nice car!' made me happy after spending all the time and money on my little baby.
