I am actually surprised that BMW hasn't already given the Mxxxi cars quad tailpipes!
Audi does it with their S4/S6... Mercedes is now doing it with their X43 AMG cars BMW is just following the competition with quad pipes on the little sister cars. I am suprised to see the new Audi TTRS and RS3 only having dual pipes while the TTS and S3 have quad, now that is strange (granted the dual pipes are huge). Remember with the M550i they are going to try and beat the Audi S6 which is just an amazing car for the money, the last gen 550i wasn't in the same league as the S6, I bet the new one is! |

The design just looks old and gives a feeling of the 3 series design some years ago. It differently is not glass leading and I don't call laser lights or a digital interior as great selling points. The look of the exterior is what sells a car.

Thanks for the post! Most are expecting AWD to be offered on the G30 platform M5. Assuredly the AWD version will be faster from 0 - 60 mph. I guess the question will be how much fun will you need to give up? From some Audi reviews, perhaps some; but from some Porsche review, perhaps none.

What you mean staff was not sure, what they employ there?! The Lasers have a distinct blue detail across all cars that have this option.

Dropping Xenon for standard Halogen? Surely you mean the other way around!

Even the guys at my local dealership have said (quietly) they cannot believe BMW are selling premium cars in 2016 with halogen bulbs. They described their night driving experiences of them in a very unflattering way. Big mistake if it's true, especially being as the current 4er is xenon as standard. |

I really, really like the rendering in the Auto Bild - love the front, back and especially the side profile.

It's 2016 and using cheapo incandescent bulb technology that was patented in 1882 is not just wrong, but actually laughable on a premium brand. |

Yes, I dow own a m5 f10 now and it is the second one. i've owned 2 M5's e60/ e61 so it is likely that eventually I will somewhere in time will own the new series M5. But from the first impression that I got from the G30, it was not for the better. Almost the same when I moved from the E39 to the E60. Not something I did because it looked nicer. On the other hand, I really liked the F10 on first sight over my E60 and it went even better (for me) with the 2014 upgrade. So it is not that I don't like newer cars. It will be out in the open within a couple of weeks. Have a look and decide it you like it or not.

In my opinion it looks fine, nothing special or unique. The first picture looks absolutely horrible but the others posted looks again...fine. I'm sure it looks better in person. BMW just doesn't provide any ground breaking exterior design. I think MB with the new e-class is at least doing something more unique with their exterior design. Looking forward to seeing it in person but right now underwhelmed.

It looks like a simple and clean update. I love the fact that BMW isn't making revolutionary changes. It helps the older models (like my E93) not look so "old" The M5 is going to be a monster as always. Can't wait to see how they design that. |

The current 5 series has an awesome modern interpretation of classic bmw lines. It still stands out as the best looking sedan in its class.
I think it's a good move to just massage it a little. Why mess with a good thing. Do you all really want a fake vent plastic and cheap looking 5 series ala x2 concept
