Nice car! I can tell you the space on the left is for the sunroof manual opening tool. I have no sunroof so that spot is empty for me as well. I'm not sure on the other spot.

When I bought both my e92 335i and my e92 m3 brand new, I thought somebody at the dealership stole the missing tools, but apparently that's how the cars came from the factory.

^ Yea the European models come fully stocked unless you opted for no sunroof IIRC. They even get that sweet folding warning triangle attached to the trunk lid. Ours are more or less stripped in that respect.

I have the sunroof tool but I don't think I have the screwdriver. The screwdriver is intended to fit into the DCT manual release hole (did it for a friend at the track), but it must serve some other function too given that it's a screwdriver rather than just a rod -- unless BMW already made that screwdriver for another purpose in another model and found it cheaper to use it here rather than make something else?
In any case, yes things have been disappearing over the years. The partition in the glovebox used to house a flashlight, and apparently the E39 way back when came with enough tools to practically take the car apart.

Unless you have the sun roof option you do not need the emergency tool (the empty place) |

Well after two previous owners the first aid kit has gone missing. What am I missing under the floor of the trunk?

US cars didn't come with first aid kits (unless you did Euro Delivery). With ED you got the hazard triangle and the first aid kit.

I think that BMW even removes the lenses in the interior lights to help us save weight (unless that was a model year change and even the Europeans got stripped?) as well as no power outlet for the rear seats-I'm assuming also to save weight? |

My 2011 M3 coupe just had the two tools on the right. It appears you do need some kind of hex tool to manually unlock the parking lock.
See page 63 in the owners manual. |

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...r/51476951801/ $40 is a bit steep though, i'd try to find someone on craigslist or fb marketplace with a wrecked car and offer $5 for it.

My e92 with no sun roof is missing those tools too. Learn something everyday.
I haven't thought about it until this moment so go easy on me - but have people without Euro Delivery ordered the First Aid kit? |
